there was a real purple patch of songwriting for me. for about ten years i had stuff to say, i had ideas, i had songs. 4 albums of songs. never played live. never could quite see how that would work, but it does if i strip the songs down to the basic structure, a guitar and vocals and that's it.

yeah i'm biased of course but the songs are pretty cool i reckon. of course i'm under no illusion as to the demand for this stuff.

if i were to play live, which i've been emptily threatening to do for ages, I'd mix my own songs up with some more well known songs - covers are more fun anyway. people like to hear what they know.
