still locked down
furlough
that's a word we didn't use much last year .
furlough
sounds good - especially good, after fuck only knows how many weeks of being in the house looking at a computer for 10 hours a day
yes i'm entitled. yes there are people way worse off socially, financially and there are tens of thousands of people dying. yes. i'm still tired though. and it's all about me.
i'm lucky to still have work. made a pay sacrifice i won't even notice. nothing at all to complain about, me. and it's all about me.
this virus causes most hurt to the ones who can least afford to be hurt. the old, infirm, weak, low paid, homeless. the fringes of a society built on capitalist systems, which pays a passable nod, compared to many others, to the idea of a welfare state. under pressure, it has now been shown, that system fails us. it has failed us more than many others because the people we entrust to run it are not up to the job. It's a tough gig for sure, tricky for anyone to manage.
especially because of the overall objective.
difficult to be seen to be looking after people when your overall objective is not to do so. though if you're lucky enough to have a few media tycoons in your corner you can have a decent stab making it look that way.
though ultimately when the overall objective is to monetise everything, wherever possible, then social justice, equality or whatever is pretty low on the list of priorities.
cunt.
see, nearly forgot where I was there for a moment. lol. obv.
& it's all about me. just furlough me. furlough the arse off me ffs. knackered.
ima do some music stuff now tho. x
