moving on
money is such a thing
profound eh
it is like
it's everything really
why is the planet dying - well cos money, and money is what is stopping us from fixing it, and money is trying to stop people from accepting that there's anything wrong with the world anyhow. well, that would be people with money who do that.
why is america just so...i mean erm... where do you start. cos money, that's why.
people with money trying to keep their money & get more money. all the money. sickening amounts. staggeringly unimaginable amounts. billions.
alexander de pfeffel johnson, somehow was a man of the people. they loved him, felt sorry for him, supported him, whilst all of the time he was clearly a thieving, self serving, self promoting. lying meglomaniac. an utterly corrupt, morally bankrupt, populist, racist silk stocking full of shit. the definition of an utter, utter cunt.
for all to see was his thinly disguised ambition to assume power, gain popularity, ultimately make money - for himself and his supporters, family and friends. anyone close to him - who can bear to be close, is clearly also a sickening cunt.
newspapers & broadcasters are mostly owned by people with money, trying to keep their money & make more - they support him because he will help them with that. BBC is not owned by millionaires, that's why it's being smeared, de-funded & whatnot of course. mostly though, money is the objective.
so yeah, i just canceled my spotify premium account. that'll learn 'em.
grabbers.
rich people can only ever make money from poor people ultimately. well they're not getting 10 quid a month from me anymore. ha.
and it looks like i might be finally buying a house. which is an interesting exercise in money. talking about significant amounts of cash & getting used to referring to it as if it's normal. for most people it's not normal to spend a six figure amount on one purchase of a thing. but we have to occasionally and wonder why it's stressful. it's stressful cos it's not normal.
i'm lucky to have a job. it's on the periphery of the construction industry. this week michael gove, despicable, rancid, cloying part-toadman, wrote to the industry telling it that it has to pay to upgrade buildings to make them safer than they were because of the inferior products that the building industry supplied to the public, thereby knowingly putting them in danger. seems fair.
except it's not entirely fair. most building products manufacturers and suppliers offer a range of things that do the same job - good ones, better ones & the best ones. good ones are the cheapest, better ones cost a bit more and so on. the best ones will do the same job as the good ones but better - more effectively maybe, more safely maybe. why would anyone not buy the best ones then. clearly you can't always because there's other things to buy as well. buildings the public live in are state funded. they determine how much can be spent on making them nice, efficient, safe. them. it's their responsibility. except they take no responsibility because money.
no responsibility at all - like kids. big boys came, big builders came and they said... they said, they said they could make it nice and and and now it's broken and it wasn't me, i never, i never did it. i never. fucking scum.
the industry is not squeaky clean of course, but the industry, any privately owned industry exists to make money. elected representatives do not, or should not at least.
when i move house, I should have a studio, a decent sized, proper space. i feel pretty good about that. i avoid saying 'i'm excited', that's become a very over-used phrase I've noticed. people seemingly get excited about some pretty dull shit. also 'looking forward to...' seems like saying 'i don't like where i am or what i'm doing right now, but soon everything will be better'
of course when it comes to having a studio of my own, i am both looking forward to it & excited. also a little anxious. no excuses then. i'll have to create stuff won't i. yet still i have nothing.
ideally i'll have a band back line set up and people can just drop by & have a clatter about. i hope so. would be a social thing too.
I'm looking forward to it. with excitement.
