honestly it doesn't much matter, i write on here cos I enjoy it. it's nice to look back & see what i was thinking

not starting a sentence with 'So,' . Think i maybe explored that thing already, try to avoid it. I hear myself using filler words more. I'm not a fan. though I just discovered they can be referred to as vocal disfluencies, which sounds quite well - could be an record title. 'I mean' seems to be the one I'm using most right now. Hate it - waste of a fraction of a second, I think I picked that one up from a work colleague.

worst one is perhaps the Tory opening phrase ; 'well look..' which suggests a kind of position of superiority i think, condescension - almost like; you've asked me something stupid, beneath me, therefore I'm going to explain it to you assuming that you're an idiot, so well look...

Blair used to do that a lot..probs still does. He was actually pretty clever though...& yes probs still is.

filler words, i was always told / taught, made me sound thick. better than wank phrases though. 'Totes amazeballs'. yeah you're ironically funny, using phrases so naff that it actually demonstrate such comic genius on your part when you do. no. fuck off.

March

nearly my birthday again

My birthday is all of March pretty much. which is nice, feels like a special month even though I've had nearly 60 Marchs now, people make a fuss of me & it's lovely.

I've read a few decent books on the kindle i got recently, it's a an interesting way to use books mostly because of the tech thingy of suggesting new books to you automatically. neat. found a few things I probably would not have.

made a start on the new music also

I've committed to spending some time in the studio every day. even if it's only 5 minutes to tweak a vocal or write a line. I think it may be quite rewarding.

one new track is nearly done on the original EP which may well now be called 'too many vocal disfluencies', or the selineville sessions, or something else. One complete on the Bon Scott EP - still an idea I'm arsing around with but many of the earlier thoughts are not panning out. One halfway through on the TV themes thing

I think I want to get each to 4 tracks - that's an EP i think & maybe keep adding to them as & when, bit like the 'comedy' one which I added a track to for the first time in years the other day.

enjoying my new sofa

doing Vinted, which was a new discovery for me, though mixed success on the purchases so far

relishing life as it is for the most part

first band practice of the year last night went really well
